ONEANDHAFF (one and a half) :
In Bangalore autorickshaw parlance, ‘ONEANDHAFF’ (ie pay-me-one-and-a-half-times-what-the-meter-shows ) is a challenge the driver throws at you, signaling the start of a game of Grand Theft by Auto(rickshaw edition).
The probability of you receiving this challenge is directly proportional to :
a) the distance of destination from driver’s ‘comfort-zone’ regions
b) the distance of your state of origin , measured upwards from the Vindhyas
c) the font size of the word ‘SUCKER’ on your face. For really huge font sizes, there’s also ‘DUBBALMETER’.

i don’t remember dabal + 20, hmmm.. interesting.. is it after 10pm or has it changed to after sunset?
They ask for 20+ even if it’s raining. I think whenever rays of sun don’t hit their face, they assume it’s night!

Bangalore is far better than chennai. atleast they put meter during day time and most of them are reliable as they use digital. you can see kilometer v/s price. but, if you are in chennai, it is robbery!
Oh this is so true in bangalore! I guess rikshawalas at different places behave differently. In some places in kerala, they are so friendly and they stick to the meter or sometimes they are so kind to let go 1 or 2Rs if there is no change. But that is not the case in all places.
I have laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed. And oneandhaffed. Outstanding work my frund. Especially the volume at which he announces his rate. Wah wah.

Why JP NGR – it’s anywhere to anywhere – always ONEANDAHALF. Most interesting thing is they say – ‘I have to come back Khali’. At 9am, from CV Raman Nagar, to MG Road, but they have to come back to CV R Ngr after dropping you!
I only have one assurance – after I die, I won’t have crisis for transport – all of these guys will meet me in hell!!!
